In the interests of furthering its ambitions to become one of the provinces and country’s leading Non-Profit Organizations (NPO), The KZN Science Centre has appointed Mr. Mandla Mkhwanazi as Deputy Chairman of The KZN Science Centre. Mr. Mkhwanazi, in an advisory role to The KZN Science Centre, will be looking to maximize and maintain the popularity and efficacy enjoyed by the fast-growing educational facility.
Candice Potgieter, Chief Executive Officer at The KZN Science Centre said, “having an excellent insight in the corporate world with many years of valuable experience, Mr. Mkhwanazi will definitely be influential in accomplishing and augmenting the vision that we have as a leading educational NPO. We are very thankful and appreciative of the energy and outlook that Mandla will be bringing to our organization”.
Mr. Mkhwanazi is the Group Chief Process Officer for Business Process Management Excellence at Transnet SOC Limited. He has extensive experience ranging from IT, international business consulting, business process improvement, logistics, mining, finance and auditing working in SA as well as in the UK, Germany and Denmark. Mr. Mkhwanazi holds a B.Compt (Honour’s) and Master’s in Business Leadership (MBL). He holds professional memberships with the South African Institute of Charted Accountants, AGA (SA), CIO Council of South Africa, African SAP User Group, Gartner Executive Programs and Gartner SAP Best Practice Council.
The KZN Science Centre will no doubt be hoping to harness Mr. Mkhwanazi’s immense potential, with Potgieter saying that this allows for more specialized advice in terms of fulfilling the goals of The KZN Science Centre as a leading NPO.
