The KZN Science Centre will be participating in the upcoming World Space Week which is due to take place from Thursday, December 4th until Sunday, December 7th. It’s an international celebration of Space Science.

Both adults and children can catch the KZN Science team members conducting exciting science shows as well as view interactive activities. Everyone can also enjoy an exhibition showcasing the SKA (Square Kilometre Array) which is South Africa’s very radio telescope.

This non-profit organisation’s objective is to support the Department of Science & Technology’s World Space Week initiative by engaging members of the public about science, technology, engineering, and maths.

The Chief Executive Officer of The KZN Science Centre, Candice Potgieter said: “Our aim is to inspire and excite people about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our teams aim will do this in a fun and interactive way that will be informative as well as entertaining.”

The KZN Science Centre will be promoting the public awareness of science, particularly Space Science which is free to the public at The Workshop Shopping Centre, situated at 99 Aliwal Street, Durban between 9am & 5pm as well as at The Ridge Shopping Mall situated at 90 Link Road, Shallcross from 11am to 4pm
